Check Out Our Interview in Woman's World Magazine

A couple months back, GuysGirl.com was contacted about a product we featured on the site as essential for tailgating.

When asked "what is our favorite cooler and why?" we knew exactly the cooler we wanted to feature and that was the Track Pack Cooler.

Basically the cooler is more of a back pack that you wear instead of drag around. It has slots for up to 20 cans and slots for reuseable ice packs (instead of using heavy ice). When someone wants a drink, no need to take off the pack, just reach behind, unzip, dispense a drink and zip right back up. I couldn't imagine a better product to use if you happen to be the tailgater that travels to a couple different spots instead of staying at one. It's also great for things like hiking or beach trips.

The following is the ad featured on page 34 of the July 12th issue of Woman's World Magazine. I'm not sure what stores carry it besides Walmart but it only costs $1.99 so its a pretty good pickup for a magazine at that price.

Hit the title/read more to check out the demo video and what we originally said about the cooler...

How to Play Football Squares

super bowl football squares sheetWe have our normal football squares experts who know exactly what the sheet below is used for and we also have those fans that have noticed a grid that is proudly displayed during football parties but have no clue what its for.

Whatever your familiarity is, you can use our easy to print football squares sheet for your party for the big game or office pool.

How to Play Football Squares

1. Determine a dollar amount per square and the payout per quarter to be awarded. For example for the sheet below, there are 100 squares. If you charge $25 per square, that means $625 will be awarded to the winner after EACH QUARTER.

2. Have everyone write their name in a square (multiple times is ok).

3. Once all the squares are filled up, make up little pieces of paper that have each number listed 0-9 and the team names.Put the numbers in a hat and get ready to start drawing.

4. Draw the names first to determine what team name to place vertically on the grid and which team is horizontal.

5. Draw the numbers one by one place writing each number drawn over each horizontal column and draw again for the vertical rows side. (there should only be one number, including the zeros, that correspond with the horizontal columns and vertical rows, think x/y axis from math class)

6. Now everyone has a special number that is used to determine the winner after each quarter. This number must be the last number in the score to win. For example at the end of the first quarter, the game is 14-7. The person who has number 4 (for that corresponding team) and the person who has 7 (for that corresponding team) are the winners for that quarter.

learning about covering the spread

Covering the Spread? The Line? Sports Betting Terms Explained!

I have to admit, I'm one of those sports fans who if I don't know what something means, I have no shame in asking. Except when it comes to things that I should technically "already know".

That is the problem that I continuously run into the problem of when I hear the terms "cover the spread" or "I'll take the points". I do what a lot of girls do, shake my head and smile to give off the perception that "yeah she knows what she's talking about".

But why fake it if you can learn it and score some cash on top of it?! So continue reading to discover the answers to

What is a point spread?

So what does it mean to "cover" the spread?

What does "Agianst the Spread" mean?

What does "Over/Under" mean?

Which Sport Has the Best Pumpkin Artists?

Yesterday we featured the Gaming Pumpkins of the Year. Today is the Sports section's turn.

Only one sport seemed to show up as far as detail and large amount; But there is no denying the skill at every sport to carve some stuff out of something that will just rot in 3 days.

Here's another round of pumpkins, but with a sports twist.

Baseball Pumpkins
The baseball fans out there did not let me down when it came to churning out professionally looking pumpkin carvings. Must be the fact that are true to the coined phrase "Fall Classic".

Detroit Tigers

Football Pumpkins
Considering Football is a Fall/Winter sport, I expected to find many pumpkins to choose from. Not so, apparently its the baseball fans that are seasoned pros. I had to sift through hundreds of images just to find a few good ones. Makes me think I should try my hand at a Jaguar pumpkin. Hmmm......

Hockey Pumpkins
Hockey fans are the worst when it comes to quantity of pumpkins carved. But you know what they say about quantity and quality.....

The Lone Hockey Pumpkin--Thanks to the Buffulo Sabres fan for putting your only representation out there with a stellar job!

Basketball Pumpkins
Basketball showed up exactly like hockey; search through hundreds of pictures to find only one pumpkin. But, this one is a great carving.

Dare I say this Detroit pumpkin is better than the other best pumpkin which happens to be Chicao White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen?

I think I just started a pumpkin-off!  At least I hope so....

Tailgating 101 Series. series includes tailgating 101; top tailgating equipment; tailgating games

Playing games while tailgating is a very important part of the experience. Most of the time if you are tailgating you are at one spot hours before the start of the game. You want to have a little fun and get all your friends involved. Surefire ways to get everyone involved and having fun is by playing tailgating games such as Cornhole and Beer Pong. Check out the rules and videos on the most popular games that tailgaters play.

cornhole

CornHole (aka Tailgate Toss or Chuck-O)

I never played this game until late 08 but it is quickly becoming one of my favorites! The game is nothing but a couple boards with a hole in it and you try to throw a bean bag through the hole or land on the board. You can make your own cornhole boards or spend about $100 for a team specific set.

Beer Pongbeer pong table

My personal tailgate game favorite! Beer Pong brings out the competitive nature in everyone and gets the drinks flowing. The game is a great icebreaker and always ultimately becomes the "life of the party". It only takes a package of famous "red cups", ping pong balls and a table. The table used can be any old table, a ping pong table or if your serious about BP action, you can grab custom team tables that are pretty legit (cost roughly $100--but are completely portable and fold up nicely for easy travel to tailgating events)

Wine Rack

Leave the Sippin seats to the boys and get me one of these! This contraption is a bra that holds up to 64 shots or almost 7 beers. OH and did I mention it fills up in a compartment in the bra? Thus making you appear to have bigger boobs. Score! It will be the best $25 you have ever spent.
