I'm always a little skeptical when it comes to "making beer at home" but over the past few years, home breweries have really sky rocketed. Companies like Sam Adams actually require all new hires to brew their own beer at home in order to work for their company.

Its a very delicate and intricate process, just as though you were making a fine wine.

But just in time to perfect your art before football season, comes the new product "Grow Your Own Beer Garden". You can make your own beer from a literal start to finish.

From the manufacturer:

"You will find it fun, rewarding, and tasty to grow your own beer making plants. They sprout and grow quickly and easily. Hops are the flavoring and stability agent of beer. Barley is integral in making beer and can regulate blood sugar levels for up to ten hours after consumption. Wheat is used to aid in fermentation and is the second most produced food in the world.

All three of these plants fuse together to make great beer! This complete kit contains everything you need to start several harvests of beer-making plants."

The kit is $25 and seems pretty legit for enthusiasts. The only problem I found with the product is what the hell do you do when its done growing?!

One quick google search later and if you do buy the kit, check out eHows article on how to use hops and grains to brew beer.

Have you tried an at home brew kit? If so, was it worth it? Let us know in the comments.
