When you think of fashion and the Olympics synonymously, you're not really sure what the two have in common what-so-ever. The first trend to come across actually started weeks before Opening Ceremony. Stores all across Canada were quickly running out of the signature red gloves with a Canadian Mapleleaf on the hand. The gloves were in such short supply that shoppers waited in lines for hours at just the chance to buy one.
The bright red gloves may seem to stand out a bit with normal everyday attire, but those gloves were no match for some of the other Olympic fashions we have seen over the past 3 weeks.

Norway's Curling Team - perhaps the argyle confused even the team wearing them?

US Snowboarders- Wear what you want when your a winner

When other countries were raising eyebrows with pants that were too tight for snowboarding, our US team was portraying the role of "surfer meets lumberjack snowboarder". Our team may have caught a lot of crap for not being the most "fashionable" but none of that means a damn thing when you have shiny metal around your neck.
Julia Mancuso "Kiss My Tiara"

I don't think I have seen an athlete ever wear a tiara, but if Julia Mancuso is the first, much applause. Normally, this is something I would like as "oh jeez, your THAT kind of girl?" but with her, I like it. Perhaps is because she is a winner but also says very proudly states that "every girl should wear a tiara and feel like a princess everyday". Again, this is also where I would say the "oh jeez...." but the girl is not only an incredible athlete she is also a business women. Julia developed her own line of thongs and boyshorts that's called "Kiss My Tiara" that she will be able to concentrate on after the Olympics.

The ambassador to hockey is no stranger to wearing insane clothes. Doing a simple google image search of his name gives me ammo for about 27 different articles. But since this is the Olympics, maybe someone expected him wear a giant redmitten with a Canadian white maple leaf on his face! Sadly that didn't happen, but what did happen was Cherry wearing something that looks like he should be polishing and not wearing.

Johnny Weir- Flamboyant & Fabulous

Despite the disappointing 6th place finish, Johnny Weir is probably more well known that the American gold medal winner! Why you ask? Its because Weir's outlandish and flamboyant fashion choices made us all giggle and smile like little school girls, especially the crown of roses he adorned. "Every little boy should be so lucky as to turn into me," Weir said responding to critiques of his outfit choices. Not "Amen-worthy" but definately "Way to Go Weir". Despite the critiques, Weir does make a lot of people smile wearing something viewers at home would never have to courage to wear.
