At the Game Developers Conference today, Sony has dropped the equivalent of an atom bomb with the announcement of the official name of the motion control device dubbed the Playstation Move, a "Wii Nunchuck" like sub controller to the Move, games and even a bundle package!
Since the internet has not yet exploded, we are able to show you some of the screen shots of the Move controller as well as a "Wii-like Nunchuck" that is uncreativly called the "sub controller". The sub controller is explained as a tool to "expand the game play options that PlayStation Move games can offer".
The sub controller is basically the analog controller for one hand and will serve only as an accompaniment to some (maybe most) games.
Both controllers will connect to the PS3 wirelessly via Bluetooth that means not even a cord to connect the Move to the sub controller. Ahhhhhh wireless technology......
Hit the jump to read about the rest of the jaw dropping news Sony gave us today....

Also during the press conference was the announcement of the lineup of games that Move will be launched with. We already knew about SOCOM 4, LittleBigPlanet and EyePet but now comes word that there are now 6 additional games.
The little gem of a screen shot above is called "Sports Champion". Other games include:
- Sports Champion
- The Shoot
- Slider
- TV Superstars
- Move Party
- Motion Fighter
Now that we have seen both the Move and sub controller, our imaginations can now run wild with how these games will actually play.
Oh but there's more? Perhaps the best news of all is that Playstation Move will be debuted as a bundle package with the Playstation Eye and a game for under $100.
"There will be multiple bundles, including a bundle that includes a PlayStation 3 console, the PlayStation Move and the PlayStation Eye. Furthermore, the company will launch a starter pack, which includes a PlayStation Move, a PlayStation Eye and an unnamed game all for under $100." via Joystiq
No word on an official release date yet, but if this much information is coming out at the GDC, I can only imagine what will be debuted at E3 in June.
