New motion control system releases on September 19th

In case you have been living under a rock the last 8 months, you probably already know about the new motion technologies coming out for major players Playstation and Xbox.

Even though both technologies are new, the Playstation Move will release almost 2 months earlier than Xbox's Kinect, which means you need to start preparing now as to how to obtain the new platform extender.

The Move, Sony's new motion control device says that "how it happens in your hand is how it happens on the screen". And when they debuted the device live on stage at E3 in June, it was clear how much the Wii Motion Plus controller lacks in precision.

The Move device consists of 3 sensors in an optical controller (picture a Wiimote with a golf ball glued to the end of the device). The light sensors that the "golf ball" gives off is picked up by the Playstation Eye. There is also another controller that serves as the navigation ala Wii Nunchuck.

Not only does it track movement, but the controller also tracks the power of your swing and trajectory.

The Move is set to launch on September 19th with 15-20 titles and 40+ games by the holidays. The Move controller is $49.99 (includes the Eye), nunchuck is $29.99 (not needed for all games but most) or the bundle which is $99 and paired with a game.

You can preorder The Move at Amazon, Best Buy and Gamestop. Might want to do it soon as this will likely sell out.
