When someone has a Superbowl Party, it's just simply not enough to order pizza and just watch the game.
If you want to have a party that has the proper music and games to keep everyone entertained, we created a fairly handy list of tools you have at your disposal that are all relatively cheap with the exception of the tv setup of course.
Music Can Make or Break Your Party
If you inviting a bunch of people over for a party, chances are, every one will not like the same music. That's why it's important to have a variety of music.
"But what if I don't have time to make a playlist for my party?"
Lucky for users with an iPod or a smartphone, all you have to do is search "superbowl party" using iTunes, Spotify or Pandora and you never have to worry about spending hours to make a music playlist.

Games to Play
Games at a party can be just as crucial as the choice in music you make. Games bring strangers together and create more of a competitive excitement, making your party stand out from the socializing dinner parties.

CornHole (aka Tailgate Toss or Chuck-O)
Two teams of 2 face off against each other and try to throw a bean bag through the hole or land on the board. If you land on the board itself it's 1 point, if you make it in the hole, it's 3 points and the first team to 21 (or 11) wins. As with any game, there are usually house rules involved as well. You can make your own cornhole boards or spend about $100 for a team specific set.
Beer Pong
My personal tailgate game favorite! Beer Pong brings out the competitive nature in everyone and gets the drinks flowing. The game is a great icebreaker and always ultimately becomes the "life of the party". It only takes a package of famous red solo cups, ping pong balls and a table. The table used can be any old table, a ping pong table or if your serious about BP action, you can grab custom team tables that are pretty legit (cost roughly $100--but are completely portable and fold up nicely for easy travel to tailgating events)
Flip Cup
Flip cup is always ideal for any football function in that it can involve as many people as you want and everyone drinks. Essentially it's two teams evenly matched in a relay race by using cups filled with beer. When it's your turn, you chug your beer and proceed to flip the clup until it lands upright. Once that that is done, the next person on your team repeats the process until alll members have gone and one of the teams is declared the winner.
Trivia Questions
When all else fails, there's nothing better than to watch grown men, and sometimes women, fight over "who knows more about sports". That's why having a Super bowl quiz can come in pretty handy
Trivia is super easy to set up, just print, cut up and hand out. Here are a couple copies of some good printable Super Bowl quizzes I found around the Internet:
Doc Sports (about 15 general questions)
Diva Girl (good battle of the sexes quiz)

TV Setup
If you are watching the big game at someone else's house and you have no idea of the tv setup, I suggest you find out quick. You don't want to be going to one of those parties where the owner had to get a converter box to make the HUGE leap from analog to digital cable.
If you are one of these people, do not invite me over on Super Bowl Sunday or any other time you plan to watch something on your tv. Watching the Super Bowl with a converter box needed is like slapping God in the face.
Of course we would all want this bad boy set up in our back yard for the big game....but a standard HD setup will suit your Super Bowl watching just fine.
