So...I was going to let this "Dunk of the Year" nonsense go without saying anything, but this has gotten completely out of control.

ESPN has pushed me to the limit on their ability to pump ANY and EVERYTHING! I’m watching SportsCenter on Tuesday night and John Brenkus is breaking down the differences in Blake Griffin’s dunk over Kendrick Perkins and LeBron James’ dunk over John Lucas III.

Whether you want to believe it or not, it is the brain that has taken center stage during the NHL all-star weekend. Forget hot shooters, goaltenders that are on fire or who has been selected for the all-star game.

The human brain has taken center ice; not because of the players that are there, but the players who are noticeably absent from the game.

It’s Monday again. You hate it. We hate it. But to help us all get through the morning, we decided to team up with sister-site Thundertreats and give you guys a  little entertainment to get your through the morning until you feel like doing “real work”. Every week 12 of the internets best stories will be featured in a 6 pack feature on GuysGirl and you finish off that 12 pack by heading over to Thundertreats. Enjoy and remember the hair of the dog is a weekend's best hangover cure.

Gluing fake fur to your crotch is now a "thing" for women to do...Over the past few decades women have slowly started shaving off every single bit of hair in the bikini region as they can. So since when did we start gluing fake fur and feathers to our nether-regions and call it cute? Now, Vajazzling is cute but fluffy pink feathers seems to defeat the purpose of getting a Brazilian wax

Without a doubt, Evgeni Malkin is one of the top players in the NHL. Malkin is red hot and cannot be stopped –even back-to-back games cannot slow Geno down. With only playing 40 games, Malkin is impressively leading the NHL in the scoring race.

In Malkin’s last 27 games, he has had 20 goals, 21 assists for a total of 41 points with a +10 rating and 132 shot on goal. In his last six games, Malkin has had eight goals and 10 points. Malkin even scored the overtime winner, which propelled the Pittsburgh Penguins over the Washington Capitals – a match-up that is always well-anticipated by Pens’ fans, Caps’ fans and the entire National Hockey League. Even his fellow countryman, Alex Ovechkin was effusive in praise for Malkin. In an interview with the Washington Times, the Capitals’ captain indicates that Malkin is dominating the league.

Bubba Watson, one of the new guys on the PGA scene who is supposed to get our minds off of how awesome Tiger Woods should be, fulfilled every redneck's dream by purchasing the famous car from Dukes of Hazzard--General Lee.

His next purchase better be some Redneck Wine Glasses, if he doesn't own those already.

Aside from the obvious Penn State scandal, there is something to say about a man who does who is that much of an influence on a sport , that no one will ever be able to full-fill that legacy for a very long time.

From ESPN: “Joe Paterno, NCAA Division I's all-time winningest coach who won two national championships and 409 games in 46 seasons at Penn State, died of complications from lung cancer Sunday at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College, Pa., at the age of 85.”

We all know about the child rape investigation that still going on, and whether you believe Paterno could have (or should have) done more, there is no denying that he spent his life completely devoted to making Penn State one of the most powerful football programs in the history of the game while donating millions of dollars and hours of his time to make it a better place outside of football.

We all know child rape is an ugly thing, and while Jo could have done more to protect those children, let’s take a moment and honor the so many great things he did accomplish.

Lamar Odom visited the Staples Center twice this week. The Sixth Man of the Year began his career as a forward with the Los Angeles Clippers but won two championships with the Los Angeles Lakers and although he played for some other teams in between he’s called the Staples Center his home for most of his career.

When athletes visit the White House, they usually have a smile ear to ear while saying the usual “thanks so much for having me, this is such an honor” blah blah blah.

But when Kareem Abdul-Jabbar visited Hillary Clinton in the White House to be officially named a United States global Cultural Ambassador, Jabbar’s face looks like someone just asked him a question on space time while someone else simultaneously crop dusting him at the same time.

While it may seem like he’s not having a good time at the White House, we can’t help but wonder, what do you guys think Kareem is thinking at the moment this picture is being taken?

It’s January right?

You can’t tell in California…the weather is Sunny and the NBA teams are HOT!

Just ask the Miami Heat.

The Heat fell short two nights in a row this week. First in Oakland against the Golden State Warriors where they lost 111-106 in overtime and then again in Los Angeles versus the Clippers, the final score 95-89.

Tuesday, Dwyane Wade returned to the line-up after sitting out three games with a foot injury. He put up 34 points but it simply wasn’t enough.
