The past two days have been incredible for both GG and myself. Firstly, the article Matt Yoder and myself worked on comparing Ninja Turtle characters to MLB teams got picked up by SI.com.
But even bigger deal for me personally was appearing on my favorite radio show, Lex and Terry.

Lex and Terry is a morning radio show that is Nationally syndicated and was originally based in Jacksonville, FL. I started listening to them about 10 years ago and they have since moved their show to Dallas, TX. They went through a breif period (about 8months) of not being on the air in Jacksonville due to Comcast/Cox drama but April 1st was the first day back on the air in Jacksonville, therefore they flew back to Jax to do the show live.

For those unfamiliar, the show is a bad ass way to entertain yourself in the morning. The guys talk sports, gaming, weird web stories, hold competitions, fart jokes and the majority of the time, hand out advice to those who need it. And the advice is really really good.
One of the regular features on the show (or used to be) was DBF (Drunk Bitch Friday) in which they bring in a hot chick, get her tanked and have her give advice to callers. Its from these segments alone that I learned how to talk on the radio and what to say/not say.
So when I was asked by Terry earlier in the week via Twitter to come on the show, it was honestly one of the most terrifying but awesome moments of my life.
When I finally arrived at the studios to be on the show, nervous as hell, I was surprised at just how easy it was to have a casual conversation with the guys and not throw up from nervousness. There were many times during the conversation that I didn’t think we were on the air because the conversation just flowed so genuine.
As far as career highs, with the exception of going on The Today Show or The View, appearing on Lex and Terry is tops for me and I’m still riding on cloud 9. Thanks to the guys for having me on and I thoroughly look forward to future appearances on the show.
In the craziness of the day, there were a couple things I should have done: I should thanked the HELL out of the writers that help me out all the time with great content (Rob, Ryan, Francis and David). I should have mentioned the Football book I recently published and I should have thanked the hell out of my boss at my daytime job for always letting me go to stuff like this. Please forgive me!
24 hours later and I’m still cheesin from the past 2 days. Thanks to all the visitors who have supported the site so far and a huge welcome to all the new visitors L&T sent us!
