Now that the season is settled in a bit, we started getting more entries for our successfull NFL Female Fan series started back in August. If you are a female looking to rep your favorite team, see bottom of this article for more information.

By now, most of NFL fans know of the enormous female following that the sport has. Which is why we at GuysGirl reached out via various social networks to recognize the real female fans that are tailgating in the elements, attending the games and rooting their team on in good times and bad.

Females all across the country have shared their stories on how they became a NFL fan, what their favorite moments have been watching their team and even if they could ever date a guy who wasn’t a football fan.

Jenna, who featured earlier this football sesaon is now accompanied by a future contributor to GuysGirl, Charity Bailey.

And you know this girl is a legit football fan when one of her opening statements to us was "I remember when we lost to the
Niners because T.O caught a TD pass in double coverage with three seconds left on the clock". So naturally we are excited to share her story on how she became such an avid NFL fan.

-How long have you been a NFL fan? Where did your passion start?

My passion for the game started as a child. I've loved football for as long as I can remember. I started going to high school football games with my dad on Friday nights as a toddler and watched NFL games on Sunday. I'm the oldest of three girls so I took my rightful place on the couch next to my dad shouting at the television, absorbing his mannerisms and football philosophy.

My dad believes in defense...he was a Packers fan as a child and always talked about their defensive toughness. I keyed in on Reggie White and thats all she wrote.

-How do you watch your favorite team? Season ticket holder, watch at home, with friends at a bar, etc...

I'm a Packers fan but I'm a California native so I watch my squad on television. I'm planning to catch a game at Lambeu Field soon so I can get the full fan experience. It's hard to focus at a bar or in big crowds so I only go if I can't catch the Pack at home. Watching at home or with friends is the way to go...especially because I love wearing my Packers jersey and comfy yellow yoga pants. I jump, scream and act like a lunatic so I only watch with friends that can take it and I actually like watching football alone too.

-What is your favorite thing about football season?

I love debriefing with my dad on Monday or Tuesday. His commentary is the best and he always ends the converation with "Yeah Dai....you think the Packers gonna take it? I think they can....who can beat em!" After Super Bowl XLV last year he called and said "Well I be damned...they did it! We were right!"

I always just laugh and listen to his thoughts on each team. I add my two cents occasionally but he's normally right and our conversations are priceless.

female packer fans-What team do you hate the most?

I hate the Chicago Bears and the Minnesota Vikings!

-Would you ever date someone who wasn't a NFL fan? What if they were an avid fan of your most hated rival?

I tried dating a man who wasn't an NFL fan and it didn't work. He always called me when my games were on and his friends would tease him about the role reversal so that was short lived. Lesson learned I don't think that will ever happen again.

I've never dated a man who reps a rival team. Any team that lines up on the other side of the Packers is a rival for the day so most men I date have to have thick skin because I am the Queen of trash talk and obnoxius touch down dances. A Bears fan requested my number once and I believe you can tell a lot about a man by the teams he loves. All of his favorite teams were my teams rivals or teams I just despised so I kindly declined.

-What is your fondest memory about your favorite team?

I will always remember Reggie White running around Lambeu Field carrying the Vince Lomabardi trophy after the Packers won Super Bowl XXXI.

What is the greatest moment as a fan that you have ever experienced?

Wow! There are so many. Brett Favre made miracles happen so many times but the best play EVER came on a Monday night at Lambeau Field against the Vikings in 2000. Yes the Big Stage!

Brett Favre hit Antonio Freeman, the ball was tipped and looked like it hit the ground. Instead, it hit Freeman's shoulder, pops into the air, Freeman is laying down, rolls over onto his side, picks up the ball, hops to his feet and scores in overtime to beat the Minnesota Vikings  (26-20). That 43-yard touchdown goes down in Monday Night Football history. It was Awesome!

-How long have you been a NFL fan? Where did your passion start?

I grew up in Wisconsin, where football is not merely a Sunday afternoon pastime, but rather a way of life.  I started watching with my dad when I was young, but really got into it in high school, when I was able to fully understand and appreciate the game.

-How do you watch your favorite team? Season ticket holder, watch at home, with friends at a bar, etc...

I am very weird about the games! I am selective about whom I’ll watch a game with, and where I’ll watch. While I love the camaraderie of fellow fans, I do not enjoy random people talking during plays or roaming around, blocking my view of the replays. I’ve found that it works best for all involved, if I watch the games at home with a group of 5-7 true fans. And of course some cheese and brats.

-What is your favorite thing about football season?

I love the anticipation and excitement that each game brings. Seeing fellow Packer fans and getting root for my team reminds me of home. I also love being able to have something to look forward to on Sundays!

-What team do you hate the most?

I hate the Vikings! I have never liked them, but after the Bret Favre fiasco, it was so hard to watch the Packers play them. Luckily, winning the Superbowl last year made the situation quite a bit better!

-Would you ever date someone who wasn't a NFL fan? What if they were an avid fan of your most hated rival?

The guy would have to be pretty great to overcome the shortfall of being a Vikings fan; as for a non-NFL fan, I don’t think we’d have much in common. If a guy didn’t like excitement, sports, and the anticipation of a good game, I don’t think we’d be a good match.

-What is your fondest memory about your favorite team?

That would have to be last year’s Superbowl win! Winning that game despite all of the injuries and missing players was really awesome! Watching Green Bay hold off the Steelers after so many players got hurt was truly amazing! It was also, the longest, most nerve-wracking game of my life.

-What is the greatest moment as a fan that you have ever experienced?

The minute we won last year’s Superbowl was my greatest moment as a fan. I called my dad, and got to see everyone celebrating at home, as well as some fans here. I had an Aaron Rodgers cake that I could finally enjoy, after being so tense the whole game. I don’t know that anything could top that game, but I have high hopes for a repeat victory this year!
