The first die hard fan we are showcasing supports the Cleveland Indians. And it should come as no shock that a Cleveland fan would be the first to volunteer for this as it was the same case with the female Browns fans. One thing is clear, no matter the sport, Cleveland fans are the truth!

How long have you been a baseball fan?
I don't remember a time when I wasn't a baseball fan.
Where did your initial love for baseball come from?
When I was younger, my step father used to take us to Cleveland Municipal Stadium to watch the Indians. We were (always) in a very empty stadium when Bucky Dent hit a foul ball right to me. (really, it was about 3 rows up in the section next to us, but I know he was aiming for me). I went home, put his poster on my wall and never looked back. Back then, it was all about the love of one shortstop. Since then, I've learned not to be such a girl but I still have that ball. Never, ever tell anyone that my love started because of a Yankee though. It's our secret.
What is single most thing you look forward to while at a baseball game?
Coming from Cleveland, I look forward to wins the most. :-)
What is your favorite food at the ball park?
The Indians have a stand where you can get fried cookie dough, funnel cake and twinkies. The fried cookie dough is the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. But I never, never eat the Twinkies.
What is your favorite MLB tradition?
I love Take me Out To the Ball Game and it drives me nuts when they substitute God Bless America for it. It's tradition and should never be missed.
What team do you hate the most?
I can watch almost any baseball team but just hearing about the NY Yankees makes me want to throw up in my mouth a little.
Which team has the worst fans?
I've been to a lot of parks around the country and, I've never had a bad experience personally. I don't like how the Yankees' fans boo their own team at Yankee stadium because it totally goes against my baseball fandom. Never, never boo the home team - even if you hate the other team.
What is your favorite memory at a baseball game or about baseball in general?
About three years ago, I was in St. Louis for work and had the opportunity to go to a Cardinals game. I just happened to be in a position that Albert Pujols jacked a homerun and I caught it on one bounce, over the head of a little kid while balancing a beer in my other hand. I never even saw the ball coming and I never spilled a drop of that beer. That kid cried though.
Could you ever date someone who was an avid fan of your hated rival?
Absolutely not. Baseball season is 9 months if you count spring training and I would never be able to endure hearing about the Yankees that long without being a bitch about it.
When people ask "How can you watch baseball? It's so boring!", what do you say to them?
I honestly don't get this question too often because most of my friends are big baseball fans too and the ones that aren't I see during the offseason :-)
Big thanks to Lisa for answering our questions on the backstory of being a baseball fan. We all have a certain way we fell in love with the game and this is just one story of many more to come.
