1c2212853df14aab98c8349c464b00fd.jpgIf you stayed up late last night to watch the ending to the Superbowl, you were witness to a great game in which the New Orleans Saints fought back the entire game to over take the Colts 31-17.

Turns out the Madden game got another Super Bowl predicition correct with an orginal predicted score of Saints winning 35 to 31. The Colts couldn't score that much in and ended up getting only 17.

The most impressive part of the game was the decision by the Saints to onside kick after the half. That took an extreme amount of guts after going for the touch down on fourth down and getting nothing.

Now is the time we can all sit back and think about the experience and if it really is worth it to have the Pro Bowl in the new format of the week before the Super Bowl.

And most importantly, if YOU the fan should even think about attending a Pro Bowl in the future.

I have officially jumped on the Brett Farve bandwagon.

I'm angry at myself for eveing typing that sentance but its true. I personally believe going to the hated rival of a team that you're a legend at is probably the worst thing you could ever do to a fan.

But as a veteran Farve also had the right to say when he wanted to quit and not give an exact day and time.

And now he is playing the NFC championship game vs another team that has a huge amount of inspiration behind them, the New Orleans Saints.

Reggie Bush is the X-factor and if can be the same physical + juke abilities, the Saints will make it very hard for the Vikings to win.

The Vikings defense must step up and put Brees on his back. With a Bush/Brees combination in sync, it will be tough for Brett Farve to keep it up by himself.

But then again if anyone can do it, its Farve.

My Pick: Some stories are meant to happen, Bret Farve wins it for the Vikings. Vikings by 3 or less.

If any kind of American there is only thing you KNOW you're going to be doing this weekend and that's watching some playoff football action between the NY Jets and Indianapolis Colts.

Its a little bittersweet as a Jags fan to watch this game because earlier in the  year the Jaguars creamed the Jets and came oh-so-close to beating the Colts before the whole "pull out the starters" fiasco.  But as a true Jaguars fan, "wait till freakin next year"....

The Jets are coming in hot at the perfect time while the Colts put to rest any doubt that Peyton Manning can pick apart any defense and embarass one that is as good as the Ravens.

If the Jets defense is as good as they think they are, they need to get to Peyton early and often. The only way you win against Indy is to keep Manning off the field. If they don't, expect Manning to pick apart that young defense and blow out the game.

The Jets need to run, run, run and limit Sanchez to short screens to have a shot at this game.

My Pick: You can never pick against Peyton until he gives you a reason not to. Colts win and I think win big.

With the ending of the football season and the holidays over, your life sort of goes back to being "normal". You know, that kind of normal that you just consume yourself with every other aspect of the NFL offseason, which seems to extend further and further into the summer months leading up until training camp.

This offseason is especially important to the Jaguars as a franchise. Though the season did not end as well we all hoped, this team still has a very bright future on the field.

Off the field is where Jag fans need to step up.

guysgirl fantasy football league results 2009Choosing to start an all girl's fantasy football league was not new to me. I actually started an all girl's league two days before the NFL season started because all my friends decided they finally wanted to "try it out".

So when the 2009 season was nearing, I wanted to get a head start on everything by getting everyone accustomed to what fantasy football was all about. I planned classes, wanted to make notebooks, walk on water...you know.... the works!

Then there was one minor problem.......only ONE from the previous year wanted to play. That person, Sam,  is now the champion of the first official GuysGirl Fantasy Football league.

Even though Sam played fantasy football the previous year, she admits she had no clue what she was doing and would repeatedly email me for advice. Based on her questions from having played the previous year, I knew we would have to do something extra than just throwing the girls in the league and telling them to "read Yahoo's rules on how to play FF".

When most women start out in fantasy football, they usually join a male-dominated league that never bothers to help out a newbie. It's true everyone needs to learn on their own and most leagues have a lot of money riding on the championship game so it's natural to not want to help your competition. Intimidation is what I believe drives most women away from playing fantasy football. That's something I wanted to change.

girls fantasy football When I started the All Girl's Fantasy Football League back in July I wasn't sure what to expect. I still had a sour taste in my mouth from the lack of participation in the previous year of the first all girl's league. But something about this year seemed a bit different.

All of the players from this year's league were new with the exception of one girl. I knew I would be taking the league more seriously in prepping the girls with rules, strategy etc but based on what happened the previous year, I had an enormous doubt as to if the girls themselves take fantasy football seriously?

The answer: Absolutely.

With the final week behind us, the playoffs are now set, 3 other girls with myself included clearly took the 12 team league very seriously. So much so that it makes me proud to be writing this article now.

Continue reading to view the matchups between the 4 top girls and let us know how you think we fare.....

senior citizen fantasy footballHow cute is this?

A nursing home in Massachusetts has found something for the seniors to do on Sundays.......play Fantasy Football.

The league of 12 senior citizens is made up of both males and females with the youngest GM being 77 years old and the oldest is 93. Since the league started, the attendance in the room where the games are going on have doubled in attendance.

At this rate, there might be a couple more leagues at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center next year. Residents watch the game for several hours at a time, munch on chips and dip, and chat about their teams during the week.

The scoring is a little simplified in which they took turns drafting entire teams, and points are based on those teams' wins.

Barbara King (right), 87,  said she joined the house league because football was her favorite professional sport. “Baseball is too slow,’’ she said. Her teams include the Cincinnati Bengals, the Houston Texans, and the Cleveland Browns - and can be heard cheering on Sundays with a teddy bear named “Champ’’ on her lap.

This is simply of the greatest videos I have ever seen.

A helmet cam is placed on a parachuters head and starts recording the minute he leaps from a plane. As the camera pans down you can clearly see the view of his dive right into the San Diego Chargers' stadium. If you pay close attention at the end, you can notice a bee that happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.

This is something I would never have the guts to do but I've heard the rush is so amazing, it becomes almost like an addiction.

The video gets better and better every time I watch it.
