InStyler Review: Does It Really Work?

http://entertainmentdaily.info/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/instyler1.jpgIt was late one night, I couldn't sleep so I grabbed my lap top and headed into the living room, turned on the TV and tried not to wake anyone.

Little did I know, but I was about to get sucked into watching an Infomercial for the InStyler.

At first glace, the product looks like a cheap motorized round brush but 5 minutes into the infomercial, I was googling reviews to see if the product really works.

I didn't find a single negative review.

That was good enough for me to scout out the lowest priced product and have it shipped to my house STAT! (btw I found the best price on ebay for $70/free shipping; InStyler retails for $120)

My old flat iron was a trooper. A little Conair ceramic straightener with a wimpy little brush attachment that my mom had gotten me almost 6 years ago. So I am not accustomed to spending a ridiculous amount of money on hair tools. (I REFUSE to spend $200 on a Chi, tried it once and my $20 Conair straightener was better). So for me to drop $70 on a hair tool, was a good stretch for me.

Hit the jump to continue reading the review on The InStyler...

instyler-kit4When my package arrived this is what is in the contents:

  • Instyler rotating hair iron
  • User manual
  • Heat resistant carry bag
  • 3-in-1 styling comb

**

Everything in the package, except for the InStyler itself, is pretty worthless. Its a basic comb and who needs a heat resistant bag when I'm pretty sure if you ever put it into a bag, its going to be off.

But regardless of the lack of freebies, I was anxious to try it out myself.

My hair is extremely thick, slightly course and really nappy. I can never let it air dry and curling always took at least 3 hours to do so I was forced to live with one hair style for years.

But from the first time I have used this product, I haven't used another hair tool. Yes, it's THAT awesome.

The silver barrel on the iron rotates and as advertised in the commercial, has a brush attached to the iron so that every strand you place in the iron is separated and straightened individually without the smashing effect that a flat iron doses out.

In just 15 minutes, my hair was noticeably bouncier, smoother and didn't look like it had been fried. I have used the InStyler on my hair on 3 separate occasions and have gotten compliments on my hair each time. And who doesn't love compliments?!

The InStyler can create straight hair, soft curls to major curls with one tool. If you're bored and looking to experiment with different hair styles, you will need this tool.

The only negative thing I would have to say about the product is that the highest heat setting doesn't feel very hot at all and while I'm doing my hair, I cannot repeated do section after section. The heat lights will start blinking meaning I have to wait about 30 seconds for the iron to reach back to the hot setting, but this minor flaw wouldn't  stop me from recommending it to as many people as I can.

The commercial also says that it "dries your hair from wet to dry" which I'm sure it could, but the reheating issue would probably resurface frequently on cold wet hair. I wouldn't recommend using this product on anything but dry hair.

So if you're looking for a hair tool that is a great investment, this definitely gets 5 out of 5 stars.

Watch the commercial yourself and now you can know that they just aren't blowing smoke!

The InStyler also has a beauty channel on You Tube where hundreds of girls with all kinds of hair have posted reviews and how-tos. Check out the channel if your still conflicted on whether or not to buy one or if you already have one there are some great tips on there.

Positive Instyler Review

Wow, that is a great review for the Instyler. Many times you see one of those late night infomercials and the product arrives and is nothing like what is portrayed in the commericals. Glad you love your Instyler.

Very true Esme. I have been burned by infomercials in the past but the InStyler really is a great product. Thanks for reading!
